About Gabriel Pastrana

Better automation starts with better decisions.

I have spent more than 20 years building, scaling, and improving logistics systems across the U.S., LATAM, and Europe—where strategy meets operating reality.

The technology matters. What makes it work matters more.

My work has covered fulfillment networks, automation programs, robotics deployments, engineering teams, and the decisions that determine whether a system performs at scale or becomes an expensive distraction.

I have worked with companies including Amazon, Mercado Libre, Microsoft, UPS, and Nike. Today, I lead global engineering at Ingram Micro, helping drive automation and intralogistics across a network of 190+ facilities in more than 60 countries.

Across hundreds of systems and large-scale portfolios, I have seen the same pattern: the winners are rarely the organizations chasing the most exciting technology. They make better decisions, build stronger operating systems, and execute with more discipline.
