I have spent more than 20 years building, scaling, and improving logistics systems across the US, LATAM, and Europe.

My work has lived where strategy meets operational reality: fulfillment networks, automation programs, robotics deployments, engineering teams, and the decisions that determine whether a system performs at scale or becomes an expensive distraction.

I have worked with companies such as Amazon, Mercado Libre, Microsoft, UPS, and Nike. Today, I lead global engineering at Ingram Micro, helping drive automation and intralogistics across a network of 190+ facilities in more than 60 countries.

What interests me most is not the technology by itself.
It is what makes it work.

The quality of the decision.
The operating model behind it.
The sequencing.
The execution.
The ability to hold up under real pressure.

That has shaped my career.

Across 500+ automation and robotics systems, a $2.1B+ project portfolio, $1B+ logistics networks, and teams scaled from 10 to 400+ people, I have seen the same pattern again and again:

The winners are rarely the ones chasing the most exciting technology.
They are the ones making better decisions, building stronger systems, and executing with more discipline.

That is also how I lead.

Ownership over optics.
Bias to action over endless discussion.
Collaboration over silos.
Integrity over politics.

Technology can improve performance.
But leadership is what makes progress stick.

I write Smart Automation because the industry does not need more noise. It needs better signal.

Every week, I share a short briefing on automation, robotics, AI, and the shifts shaping logistics, supply chains, and e-commerce. The goal is simple: make sense of what matters, cut through the hype, and offer a clearer view of where the industry is going.

Originally from Spain, I now split my time between Southern California and Spain with my wife and son. Outside of work, I care about systems thinking, health, wellness, and investing.
